This afternoon a small fire in the press room of the Boston Globe was extinguished by the Boston Fire Dept. The call came in Sunday around 5 pm. The first alarm was quickly downgraded after the room’s sprinkler and a single company were able to put the fire out. There was no significant damage and employees were able to return to work about 15 minutes later.
Quick response helped in keeping this from getting too crazy. You could say this story was “hot” off the press. I know, that was bad. Nice work BFD!
