We were following this one almost from the start. It was a busy afternoon for Boston Firefighters. Here is the report from MyFoxBoston:
A 2-alarm fire in Dorchester became the city’s second fatal fire of the year on Tuesday, after a woman died in the fire. Two firefighters also suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Neighbors began calling 911 at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after seeing smoke coming out of a two-family home on Tonawanda Street.
Investigators say a woman in her 60s was sitting in the first floor of the apartment when the fire broke out. Witnesses on scene say firefighters performed CPR, but it was too late. She was pronounced dead at Massachusetts General Hospital.
